Community Police - Information Update

Dear Resident,

I would like to provide you with an update regarding a report of a stolen vehicle in the Playfair Drive area of Leuchars, Fife, which is believed to have occurred between 1am and 4.25am on 1st July 2026.

Officers are actively investigating the incident, and we are currently following a number of positive lines of enquiry. While the investigation is ongoing, we are keen to hear from anyone who may have information that could assist.

If you have CCTV, doorbell camera, or dashcam footage covering the relevant time period, and you believe it may be of value to our enquiries, please contact Police Scotland by calling 101, quoting reference number PS-20260701-0453. Even footage that may appear insignificant could prove helpful.

This incident also serves as a timely reminder to take simple steps to help protect your property and vehicles. Please ensure that all doors and windows are securely locked, even when you are at home or only leaving your property for a short time. If you own a vehicle, always remove keys from the vehicle, keep them out of sight and away from doors and windows, and ensure the vehicle is locked whenever it is unattended. If you have security lighting, alarms, or CCTV, please make sure they are in good working order.
